In the 18th century the building was embellished by the frescoes (the work of the students of the famous artist Gianbattista Tiepolo) which now adorn the sumptuous Marco Polo drawing room. Recent works, completed in 1992, has restored the building to its former splendour. To maintain high quality standards each year renovations are made, the last ones enhanced the hotel with new suites with wonderful views over the St. Mark's waterfront.The 108 rooms, including the suites, are furnished with antique pieces combined with every modern comfort. The warm, extremely elegant "Canova Restaurant" (winner of the "Fogher d'Oro" award and "Gambero Rosso" award) is designed to hold up to 80 guests.
