Location
Bansko, recently established as an all season resort, is at 1000 m altitude and is situated at the foot of the Pirin mountain range, just an hour and a half's drive from both Bulgaria's capital, Sofia, and Skopje, in Macedonia, and under two hours' drive from Thessaloniki, in Greece.
