Location
The
Copacabana Palace is superbly located: it faces the famous Copacabana
Beach and yet is only minutes from the centre of Rio. The hotel is
located eight miles from the domestic airport, Santos Dumont, and 20
miles from Rio de Janeiro's international airport, Tom Jobim.

Transfers
The
Copacabana Palace has introduced its own exclusive Lincoln Town Car
Service, a service designed with the comfort and safety of the hotel's
guests in mind. To operate the service, the hotel has invested in two
black Lincoln town cars, one of the world's most popular town cars with
politicians and diplomats, as well as a team of bilingual chauffeurs
who are on call 24 hours a day.
Guests wishing to use the service should make their reservation
directly with the Copacabana Palace as the service is wholly owned and
operated by the hotel.

Rio is three hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (England) and one hour later than New York.
Business Hours
Most offices are open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Banks are open Monday to Friday, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Visa Requirements
As the Brazilian Foreign Office bases its policy on reciprocity,
visitors from certain foreign countries will require a visa. Visas can
be obtained from the nearest Brazilian Embassy or Consulate and are
usually processed within two working days. For a tourist visa, you will
need to show your passport, valid for at least six months from the date
of arrival, one passport-size photograph and a round-trip ticket.
Accommodation
The
Copacabana Palace has 222 accomodation, 147 in the main building which
71 are suites and 76 are rooms. In the Tower Wing Building, there are
75 accommodations, which are all suites. The rooms and suites face
either the sea, internal, pool or city view. All guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning, opening windows, television with selected satellite channels, telephone with voice mail, wireless internet access, digital safe, mini bar and hairdryer.
The 6th floor Penthouse suites feature works of art, oriental carpets
and French fabrics and an exclusive swimming pool only for the guests
of the 6th floor- just some of the details which make the 6th floor the
perfect place for those accustomed to stylish living and are 'flying
down to Rio'.
The
Copacabana Palace boasts a magnificent Semi-Olympic size swimming pool,
without doubt the finest in Rio, and a tennis court. The hotel also offers a Spa, Beauty Salon, Fitness Centre, Beach Service, Laundry Service and Baby Sitting Service.
Water sports nearby include surfing and bodyboarding. It is also
possible to cruise and snorkel around the offshore islands as well as
