Dallas is renowned for its association with the oil industry and has more than its fair share of high-tech companies and corporate headquarters connected to this multimillion dollar industry. It also features a wide range of attractions from the cultural to the kitsch. Famed for the long-running television series of the same name, visitors can now see Southfork Ranch for themselves, which is just twenty miles north of Dallas. It may surprise you to know the city boasts one of the largest urban arts districts in the United States, together with one of the largest shopping Meccas. However, its biggest claim to fame is the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the sites associated with his death are among Dallas' most visited attractions.
