Originally built in the early 18th century by the 12th earl and only of Shrewsbury, Heythrop House was rebuilt and restored in 1869 following a devastationg fire in 1831. Today the interior furnishing and decoration of the house incorporates many antique and attractive items of furnishings, porcelain and glass.
