- Lake Placid is a year round resort in the Adirondack Mountains, and the Inn is located in the heart of all the activities. The hotel overlooks Mirror Lake and the Adirondack Mountains and features a large indoor pool with whirlpool, meeting facilities, and Nicks Place. Nicks is an impressive cocktail lounge and restaurant surrounded by 14,000 square feet of glass with a terrific view of the lake and mountains. Nicks room service is available. The spacious rooms feature two double beds or one queen-sized bed. Many rooms have a view of the lake. All rooms feature cable television, individual temperature control and touch tone telephone. Lake Placid was the site of the 1980 Winter Olympics, and continues to host numerous World Cup and World Class Events.
