Dating back to 1740, the history of Glenlo Abbey is closely linked with that of Galway and was home to two of the great tribes who ruled the city for centuries. In 1992, Glenlo Abbey re-opened as a family-owned hotel and is the only 5-Star deluxe property in Galway. The hotel has also earned the prestigious RAC Gold Ribbon award.One of the delights you will find at Glenlo is The Pullman Restaurant which is created from two cleverly converted 1927 Orient Express coaches.
