Zurich's bustling Hauptbahnhof railway station has direct trains to Stuttgart, Munich, Innsbruck and Milan, as well as to many other domestic and international destinations. Zurich is also served by Zurich-Kloten Airport and roads leading into the city are good.

Zurich is served with both European and international flights by Zurich-Kloten airport, a busy and efficient airport within easy reach of downtown Zurich.
Arriving by Car
If driving into Zurich, the N1 is the fastest route from Bern and Basel; it also services routes to the north and east of Zürich. The N3 approaches Zürich from the south, along the shore of Lake Zürich.
Getting Around Zürich
The downtown area of Zurich is very busy and so it is not advisable to drive. Taxis in Zurich are readily available though expensive. The best way of getting around downtown Zurich is provided by the comprehensive and unified bus, tram and S-Bahn network in the city, which includes boats on the Limmat River.
