Getting Around Vienna
Vienna has an excellent public transportation system, with buses, trams, trains and a subway system. You can use one validated ticket for all the different forms of transportation within an hour. You can purchase tickets from presale-ticket windows (Vorverkaufsstellen) or ticket machines (Automaten) at most U-Bahn (subway) stations, or from a tobacconist / news-stand (Tabak-Trafik).
