Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is rated as the top Airport in North America by IATA (the International Air Transport Association) and number four in the world. A far cry indeed from the "less than adequate" response Charles Lindbergh gave to the facilities on Lulu Island in 1928. This rebuff from one of the world's most famous flyers was the catalyst that transformed YVR into the remarkable airport that it is today. Vancouver International Airport has two main terminals that cater for international and domestic flights, along with another smaller terminal to the south.
