Strasbourg Dress Code
At business meetings, both men and women should wear suits. Otherwise, the dress code in Strasbourg is smart casual, but a jacket and tie are preferred in the more exclusive restaurants.
Smoking
Although more widely accepted in France than in many English-speaking countries, has recently become an issue. Expect to find no-smoking signs in many Strasbourg public places, although most cafés and restaurants will allow smoking in at least part of their premises.
Greeting Someone in Strasbourg
Shaking hands is the standard greeting in France with the occasional kissing on the cheek. In Strasbourg, it is best to address business persons by title and surname until invited to do otherwise.
