Time Off
St. Paul and its neighbor Minneapolis are the "twin cities" of the northern state of Minnesota, just south of Canada. Proud of its status as a big city with small town charm, maintaining family values is deemed as important as preserving its historical heritage. Art, museums, railroad memorabilia and some of the finest Victorian buildings in America make this city a fascinating experience for history enthusiasts.
Visitors are asked to leave modern life behind and journey back to the nineteenth century at Fort Snelling, once the last outpost in the "northern wilderness" and now an authentically restored territory town. Downtown, at Wabasha Street Caves, gangster days are remembered where historical tours take place alongside the hands-on experience of cabaret workshops and evening big band concerts.
