Singapore Transportation
Singapore's Changi Airport is at the eastern end of the island, 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the city centre. Limousine, car hire and taxi services are all available. A shuttle bus leaves the airport every 20 minutes from 06:00 until midnight, calling at all the major hotels in the city centre. The best way to get around town is on the air-conditioned Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) underground rail system, a comprehensive network operating from 06:00 until midnight, with trains every three to five minutes.
Arriving by Air
Singapore is served by Singapore Changi International Airport.
Getting Around Singapore
Singapore administers a restrictive licensing system, which limits the number of cars on the road, and also requires a further licence for cars entering the central business district (CBD). This ruling also applies to taxis, who will add the cost to the fare.
