Singapore Airport Information
Singapore - Singapore Changi International Airport
Singapore Changi International Airport (SIN) is situated 20 kilometres (12 miles) east of Singapore city. It handles international connections from all around the globe, acting as a hub for the local region of South-East Asia, and a key stopover for flights from Europe to Australasia.
Singapore Changi Airport has two terminals. Terminal 2 is noted for its state-of-the-art construction. A third terminal, even more modern than the others, is now being built. The terminals at Singapore Changi Airport serve a large number of airlines offering both long-haul and short-haul flights. They are very well organised and help the airport win Business Traveller awards every year. The terminals are equipped with everything incoming and outgoing passengers may require, including banking facilities, specialist shops and news-stands. The Skytrain, a free-to-user transit system with a journey time of two minutes, connects them.
Car rental services are available at Singapore Changi Airport. The booking stands are in the arrivals halls of Terminals 1 and 2. Car rental companies at Singapore Changi Airport include AB (Budget) Car Rental, Sintat Rent-A-Car, Avis Rent-A-Car and Sime Darby (Hertz).
Singapore Changi Airport offers three car parks: A, B and C. These three options provide facilities for long-term, short-term and disabled passenger parking.
