Scottsdale Dress Code
The people of Scottsdale pride themselves on their Western informality and consequently dress very casually. Visitors are welcome to dress up or stay casual when dining at most restaurants. However, more formal attire is worn at business meetings.
Greeting Someone in Scottsdale
Shaking hands is the usual greeting in Scottsdale, as in most of the United States. People generally address each other by their first names, but sometimes at business meetings, use of a title and surname is more appropriate.
Scottsdale Business Hours and Banking
Business hours vary from one industry and sector to another in Arizona but, in general, most office environments operate between 09.00 and 17.30, Monday to Friday. The majority of banks are open between 09.00 and 15.00, Monday to Friday with some staying open to 17.30 or 18.00 one day a week. Some of the larger banks will probably also be open on Saturday mornings.
Scottsdale Smoking
An issue that is traditionally one of great controversy in the United States, smokers are warned to be very careful when choosing a place to light up as most public places have banned smoking altogether. The best advice is to smoke only in like-minded company.
