San Francisco Airport Information
San Francisco - San Francisco International Airport
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is located South of San Francisco, serving the city, Silicon Valley and the wider Bay Area. One of the Nation's busiest airports, SFO handles domestic flights and international connections to and from the Pacific Rim, Europe and Latin America.
San Francisco International Airport currently has three terminals, with a new international terminal, airport transit and rail station soon to join the modern car rental center as airport improvements. Longer term plans include a new runway layout to reduce flight delays in bad weather.
San Francisco International Airport has large modern car rental facilities in a purpose built Car Rental Center. Connected to the airport terminal by frequent free shuttle bus, the car rental center brings together all of the major rental firms in one location.
San Francisco International Airport operates short term and valet passenger parking in a central location between Terminals 1 and 3. Long term parking is located off the airport on McDonnell Road. This parking lot is connected by free shuttle bus to the terminals.
