San Diego Dining
Spectacular harbor views, fine Californian wines and delicious cuisine make eating out in San Diego a memorable experience. The city's numerous cafes, bistros and restaurants boast a wide selection of Italian, Spanish and Mexican dishes. The choice on offer is almost endless as Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese restaurants are also rapidly appearing. Seafood is San Diego's real specialty, particularly fresh fish such as salmon, sea bass and swordfish. Steamed clams in a sweet red pepper sauce or shrimps in a chilli and tequila cream sauce are also well worth trying.
San Diego Tipping Advice
Tipping is almost standard practice in the United States. It is customary to tip porters and bellboys one or two US dollars per piece of luggage. Restaurant staff, taxi drivers and hairdressers are usually tipped between 10 and 20 percent.
