Arriving by Air
Princeton is roughly equidistant from two major airports: Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), 40 miles (64 km) away and best known as an airport servicing New York City; and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), 55 miles (88 km) away.
Arriving by Train
Princeton Junction station is on the North East Corridor rail link and offers train services operated by Amtrak and New Jersey Transit. A popular two car train known as "Dinky" travels between the junction station and the University campus.
Arriving by Car
US Route 1 passes close to Princeton, and is the area's main transport artery. Coming from the west some drivers may choose to use Route 206.
Getting Around Princeton
The centre of town is small enough to cross by foot. Local buses ply between the university, the town and nearby destinations.
