Princeton Tipping Advice

A standard gratuity of between 10 and 20 percent for restaurant waiting staff tends to be the norm. For other service personnel such as doormen, valets and baggage handlers, some recommend a tip of one US dollar per service. Taxi drivers are tipped according to the service received. As a guide, adding 10 percent onto the fare is acceptable.

When to Visit - Arts and Events

Princeton's events are, in the main, those of the University. Students, their parents, relatives and friends will be informed via standard university procedures.

The University's McCarter Theatre has a full calendar of theatre and dance.

The recently instituted "Communiversity", a small street festival combining town and gown in a joint celebration, takes place in late April.
