Palm Springs - Los Angeles International Airport

The third busiest airport in the world, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is approximately 20 miles (30 kilometers) south-west of downtown and takes about 30 minutes by taxi. Many of the major hotels operate shuttle services to and from the airport and there are also self-drive and limousine rental agencies that offer more competitive rates than those based in the city.

Each terminal at Los Angeles International Airport serves several airlines and a large number of destinations. Each terminal has a variety of restaurants, bars, newsstands and shops. Business services, banks and ATMs are also available.

Los Angeles International Airport offers daily and metered parking near all terminals in the Central Terminal Area. Lower rate long-term parking is available in lots B and C; complimentary shuttles are available to carry passengers from these lots to the airport. Disabled passenger parking is offered in each lot. Passengers arriving at the parking area should allow plenty of time to comply with the security procedures that may include a full vehicle inspection.
