Lake District Climate
The north boasts a crisp fresh climate that warms up from March onwards. Winter temperatures can fall to minus 4 degrees Celsius (25 degrees Fahrenheit) and summer temperatures range from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius (50 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit). With the highest annual rainfall in Britain, exceeding 2,000 millimetres, visitors should always be prepared for rain, even in summer. Outdoor clothing and comfortable boots are therefore recommended.
