Kathmandu International Airport (KTM)
Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) is located less than six kilometres east of Kathmandu, Nepal. About a 20-minute drive from the city, the airport serves as the major hub for air travel in Nepal. International flights are provided by 14 airlines, and 20 domestic carriers operate from the Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). The airport has one terminal handling all international and domestic passengers.

The single terminal of the airport is divided into 3 levels, as Ground, 2nd, and 3rd Level. The terminal is well-appointed and offers many facilities including banking, duty-free shopping, postal service, eateries, and general and tourist information desks. Currency exchange services, VIP lounge and facilities for the physically challenged are also available at the Kathmandu Airport.
Transportation
The Prepaid Taxi Service just outside the Arrivals Gate of the Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) is very convenient for passengers arriving in Nepal. As the payments are made in advance, taxi drivers will not overcharge the travellers.
Most airport hotels offer free shuttle service for their guests, from the airport to the hotel and vice versa.
