Kansas City Transportation
As well as Kansas City International Airport, Kansas City is a very accessible area, as would be expected from somewhere so centrally located. Driving to the city from elsewhere in Missouri and beyond is easy and there are good rail links.
Arriving by Air
The majority of visitors to the Kansas City, Missouri area arrive into Kansas City International Airport (MCI). The airport is used by a large number of both international and domestic carriers. MCI, like all airports in North America, has stepped up its security operations. Travelers to Missouri, therefore, should be patient and allow plenty of time when arriving or leaving.
Arriving by Car
From St. Louis and areas east of Kansas City, the I-70 is the road to take to the city. The I-70 also stretches west of Kansas City through Kansas and Colorado through to Utah. If driving from Wichita, the nort eastern bound I-35 heads directly into the downtown area of Kansas City.
