A giant churning paddle-wheel from the steamboat Arabia, which was sunk in 1856 and excavated in 1988, fronts this unusual museum. From beaver-skin hats to pistols to medicines, the museum claims the world's largest collection of frontier supplies and is one of Kansas City's premier tourist attractions. 90 minute guided tours are available for the fact hungry visitor.
