Indianapolis Dress Code
With such variations in temperature in the region, visitors should of course pack suitable clothes depending on the season. A light jacket or coat is advisable in the evenings when the Indy climate is at its best (from April through to June and in September and October).
Greeting Someone in Indianapolis
If there is one defining social factor that makes Indy so inviting, it's the city's slower pace and its commitment to hospitality. Connecting with people seems just that little bit easier than in many other North American cities. For instance, people often extend greetings on the street and even exchange a smile or two.
Indianapolis Business Hours and Banking
Indianapolis's business hours vary from one industry and sector to another but in general, most office environments operate between 09.00 and 17.30, Monday to Friday. The majority of banks are open between 09.00 and 15.00, Monday to Friday with some staying open to 17.30 or 18.00 one day a week. Some of the larger banks will probably also be open on Saturday mornings.
Indianapolis Smoking
An issue that is traditionally one of great controversy in the United States, smokers are warned to be very careful when choosing a place to light up as most public places have banned smoking altogether. The best advice is to smoke only in like-minded company.
