Getting Around Hyderabad
Auto-rickshaws
Autos are the easiest and most economical mode of transport in Hyderabad. They are metred, and tourists are adviced to make sure the driver turns on the metre before the ride begins. It must also be noted that within the hours of 10:00 pm and 5:00 am, the metre rates are doubled.
Buses
Road Transport Corporation (RTC) buses and Metro Liners operate in Hyderabad. The public buses are crowded during rush hour while Metro Liners are comfortable but offer only a limited number of seats.
Taxis
Taxis are not widely used in Hyderabad, although prepaid taxis are available at the airport and Secunderabad and Nampally railway stations. Additionally, travellers can arrange for taxi services from the comfort of their own hotel.
