Houston - Five-Day Weather ForecastHouston ClimateIt's interesting to note that Houston's only obstacle to growth until the 1930's was its sweltering summer heat. This was overcome by the widespread availability of air-conditioning, but it does show that the city's climate has to be taken very seriously indeed. In summer, the average maximum daytime temperature is 94 degrees Fahrenheit (34 degrees Celsius) while in winter the temperature averages between 40 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit (4 to 16 degrees Celsius). Humidity is highest in October, when it can reach 93 percent even at dawn. Late spring (April and May) and early summer (June and July) are the best times to visit, as the humidity isn't yet at its peak.
