Hong Kong Airport Information
Hong Kong - Hong Kong International Airport
Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) at Chek Lap Kok is located 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of the city of Hong Kong. A busy airport, it serves the city and acts as a hub for much of China and South-East Asia. All passenger flights connect to one super-terminal, which is said to be the largest enclosed space in the world.
Hong Kong Airport has only one passenger terminal. It handles all flights. The 1.27-kilometre-long terminal is one of the world's largest enclosed spaces. Despite its size a passenger may move around with a fair amount of speed. An internal shuttle train runs between the East Hall and the West Hall; arriving passengers need not change levels to exit the building; departing passengers need to change levels only once to board their plane.
Hong Kong Airport houses limousine / car rental service counters in the passenger terminal's Meeters and Greeters Hall. This is on the arrivals level, Level 5.
Hong Kong Airport offers four car parks, all of them close to the passenger terminal. Car parks 1, 2 and 3 are open-air. Car park 3 is only open at periods of peak demand. Car park 4 is under cover.
