Arriving by Air

Düsseldorf International Airport is close to the city, and is connected by road and by metro rail system.

Arriving by Car

The A3 motorway (Autobahn) provides access from the north and south. The A46 provides access from east and west.

Arriving by Train

The principal train station is the Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, on Konrad-Adenauer-Platz. Services from here connect Düsseldorf with Cologne, Berlin, Hanover, Frankfurt and many other cities around Germany and Europe.

Getting Around Düsseldorf

The city centre is small enough to walk across. Underground trains (U-bahn), trams and buses link various points in the city and suburbs. A metro rail system (S-bahn) runs between the city and nearby destinations (including the airport). Taxis are available.
