Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB)

The Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) is situated in Katunayake - just 32 kilometres (20 miles) away from the city of Colombo. The airport, which is the only international airport in Sri Lanka, features two closely connected terminals, Arrivals and Departures. Presently, the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) is served by 25 airlines.


Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) Terminals

The Arrival and Departure Terminals of the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) are situated within close proximity to each other. This makes transferring from one terminal to the other very convenient. Both terminals of the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) are comfortable and provide many services and facilities including banking, medical services, and facilities for the physically challenged as well as business, postal and telecommunication services. The terminals also feature several first and business-class lounges.


Car Rental

Most tour operators at the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) offer car rental facilities. The tour operator counters are located in the Arrivals Lobby.


Car Parking

Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) features two spacious parking areas, the Terminal Car Park and the Remote Car Park. The Terminal Car Park offers 400 spaces and only allows parking of cars and vans. The Remote Car Park, 300 metres away, is more economical and allows the parking of motor cycles, buses, lorries and three wheelers as well.


Transportation

Intercity buses and tour operators provide ground transportation services at the Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB). The intercity buses located close to the airport exit operate to and from the airport to Colombo. Tour operators provide coaches for passengers arriving at the airport. The tour operator desks are located in the Arrivals Lobby. In addition to this, most hotels also provide transport to and from the airport.
