Chicago Transportation
The popular city of Chicago, Illinois, is served by two major airports as well as having excellent road and rail links to other neighbouring cities and beyond.
Arriving by Air
There are two major airports that serve the Chicago area: Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Chicago Midway Airport.
Arriving by Car
The immense I-90 drives straight into Chicago from as far away as Seattle, Washington, and is one of Chicago's most important allies. If heading from east of Chicago, the I-80 runs from New York via Cleveland, Ohio. The I-55 arrives from the south, St Louis and beyond.
Getting Around Chicago
Driving in downtown Chicago is not at all recommended as the city can get busy and traffic can be thick on a Manhattan scale. Public transport is easily the best option, with an excellent bus service and an elevated rail network that operates above the downtown business district.
