Calgary - Five-Day Weather Forecast[an error occurred while processing this directive]
Calgary ClimateThe weather in Calgary varies quite dramatically, from extreme cold in the winter to heatwaves exceeding 32°C (90°F) in the summer. The big freezes would be worse if it wasn't for periodic 'Chinook winds' of warm air from the mountains, which can cause the temperature to rise by more than 16°C (60°F) in just a few hours. Daytime and night-time temperatures can also differ widely due to Calgary's dry air and its proximity to the mountains. In the summer, overnight temperatures often drop close to freezing yet can be back to scorching hot by noon.
