The 1742 hall served as a meeting place during the American Revolution. It contains a military museum and paintings of notable battles. The square is filled with restaurants and speciality shops.
Bunker Hill Monument

This 221-foot granite obelisk commemorates the Revolutionary Battle of Bunker Hill, which took place on 17th June 1775. The monument exhibits memorabilia and has a spiral staircase to the top, from which there is a commanding view over Boston.
