When to Visit - Arts and Events
The International Bath Music Festival is held every year in May together with the Fringe Festival. The opening night includes an impressive firework display, and fringe events include balloon flights, art exhibitions and numerous alternative comedy shows. Throughout the summer months and at weekends, a lively selection of street entertainers can be seen in Abbey Square and throughout the main shopping areas. Mime artists, singers, musicians and living statues create an entertaining spectacle, bringing a festival ambience to the city centre. Street entertainment is further enhanced during annual street festivities, which take place during summer and at Christmas when Bath becomes a fairy-tale grotto of twinkling lights with theatre and circus performers, festive music and food sellers cooking in the open air.

Bath Tipping Advice
Tipping in the United Kingdom is very much at your own discretion. If the service is good, then it is considered good practice to tip. The amount is up to you, but around 10% tends to be standard.
