Bangkok Airport Information
Bangkok - Bangkok International Airport
Bangkok International Airport (BKK) is located 25 kilometres (15.5 miles) north of the city of Bangkok. It serves the city and the areas around it and acts as a hub for Thailand and other parts of South-East Asia. The airport is busy, due to its constant flow of business travellers, vacationers and backpackers.
Bangkok International Airport provides a complex of two international terminals and one domestic terminal. The international terminals are built side by side and the domestic terminal is 500 metres from International Terminal 2, connected by an air-conditioned walkway and a free-to-user shuttle bus. Short-stay tourist visas may be obtained at airport immigration, which means that entry queues are often longer than at other airports.
Bangkok International Airport has car rental services available in all three terminals.
The car parks at Bangkok International Airport provide space for more than 5000 cars. There are two principal areas: the Bangkok International Airport office building, with car parks on the basement, ground and 2nd levels, and a dedicated seven-storey parking building. The domestic terminal has a relatively small car park.
