Bali Transportation
Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport, just outside the capital Denpasar, is the area's main gateway to the outside world as it connects Bali to Jakarta as well as international cities. There is also a reasonable road and rail network within Indonesia.
Arriving by Air
Bali is served by Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Getting Around Bali
It is possible to walk around Bali although good public transport is available. Small boats go to a number of islands offshore, notably those in the Nusa Penida group. Boarding is via a short wade through the water, so be careful with valuables. It is wise to wrap items like cameras in waterproof bags as they could get soaked by spray.
