Time Off
Founded in 1857 by a colony of German farmers and winegrowers, the original 200-acre site of Anaheim is today the downtown area of this lively Californian city. Sitting in the heart of America's Orange County, Anaheim was the first place in California to grow citrus fruits commercially. This small town grew slowly but steadily throughout the 20th century until one remarkable day when a certain Mr Walt Disney drove through it during his search for a place to site his dream park. Like many before him, Walt Disney fell in love with the location of Anaheim. Today's vibrant city is inextricably linked with the world's most famous mouse and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in America.
